TekniWAP Support / Support / netpager

OK I talked to you on AIM but for everyone else, Premium Pager Pro:you have to make sure you type in your phone number correctly. Once in Pager Pro, hit Prefs --> then 1 to edit your number, or 2 to change from nextel to boost. Once you change your number, click Save and it will be working. Non-Premium Text Pager:when you are paging someone you are asked for an email address, just type in [Your cell number]@messaging.nextel.com for nextel or [Your cell number]@myboostmobile.com for a boost phone. If anybody still doesnt understand then too bad ... lol just post your questions. -Jason

TekniWAP Support / Support / How to get Sub ID w/o any Internet Service from Nextel
|
on: December 03, 2003, 02:56:30 am
|
You need some type of internet access to get a SUB-ID. A SUB-ID is just a number that identifies your phone on the internet. Without internet on the phone, there is NO way to use it. Nextel's basic NOL package is only like $3.50/month and it's well worth the price if you ask me.
Hope that helps, -Jason

TekniWAP Support / Support / Two pages with one URL

Continueing this thread, Teknidude's answer above might answer this one, too. Here goes: The URL for "Whats New" is http://uphpgen.adc.nexteldata.net/jsp/whatsnew_menu. Don't click on it here; nothing will happen. But, if I create a new bookmark and manually enter that URL, I get a long error message. When I look at the URL of the error message, it shows error:neterr/g I know d**n well I did not enter error:neterr/g for the URL, but there it is, in dark green and light green. The educateder I get, the confuseder I also get. Well I think you are missing the ending prefix of the web page. Like .asp or .html See if you forgot the ending of the URL OK the correct URL is: http://uphpgen.adc.nexteldata.net/jsp/whatsnew_menu.wmlIt was only missing the .wml at the end. -Jason

TekniWAP Support / Support / Net Alerts Disappearing?

The browsers memory might be shared with the net alerts. I would use the custom links to free up your memory. That way you would only have one net alert, and more memory available to the browser... I think

Hey ai4i, I dont know the answer but here is what the problem is. WML web pages run off of 'cards'. A card is pretty much each page of data displayed on the phone. On each web page, you can have multiple cards. The main card, or the first one displayed is usually defined as #Home. All of the other cards have names but that is up to whoever made the web page. You specify between by what card you want to show on the phone by adding a #Name at the end of your link. Like http://phnmsg.nextel.com/cgi/n.dll?c=39#Home would probably go to the first card on that page. And then http://phnmsg.nextel.com/cgi/n.dll?c=39#New might go to the second card. The only problem is that you have no clue on what that second card's name is. I guess you could try guessing at what it might be but thats really the only way to get it. Hope that helps. -Jason

TekniWAP Support / Support / Net Alerts Disappearing?

That happens on the phones with the older software. Try updating the phone with IdenUpdate. You won't lose them ever again. (Unless you swap SIM cards.)
Also, if you have the Go to feature on the main Net page of your phone, you can type in teknidude and it will send the phone to TekniWAP. Once there, hit About and then Mark.
