Retiring TekniWAP &

I will be shutting down TekniWAP and the server permanently this week. (2013-06-18)

The Windows server has been quietly running along for years now and I no longer wish to maintain it. The site was created with VB Script/Classic ASP and I have since moved on to developing things on my Linux VPS. I can’t move over the ASP code so it is time to say goodbye.  There have been almost 11 million hits to the TekniWAP homepage since when I created it in 2003.

James R. Volk passed away on December 23, 2012 after a short illness.

He was 63 years old.

Born in Newark, he grew up in East Hanover and moved to the Cedar Lake section of Denville, NJ in 1976.

James worked as a communications technician for PSE&G and JCP&L for many years.
He obtained and maintained his General Radio and Telephone Operator’s License.

He was predeceased by his father Robert A. Volk.

James is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sally J. (Polhemus) Volk of Denville, NJ, as well as his sons Ryan and Jason Volk, both of Denville. His mother Evelyn Abel of Hadley, MA and his sisters Barbara Henderson of Hadley, MA and Joan Christoffels of Seattle, WA and many nieces & nephews also survive him.

Funeral services will be held at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834 on Saturday December 29, 2012 at 5PM. Friends may visit prior to the service from 2-5PM. Please light a candle in his memory at:
