Ok please help me out, im new to all this phone stuff, i just recently found out  what webjal is and started using it, from what i can understand tekniWAP lets you use your phone for internet access for free, but what does it let you do? do i have to have a basic internet plan w/ nextel? can i send free text messages? do i get charged for alerts as incoming text?, any responses would be greatly appreciated, i did searches but none of them seem to tell you what exactly tekniwap is

net alerts are free....

sending messages via tekni wap is just like filling out a web form (Nextel cant tell the difference.
For the most part text messages are email messages. If it is sent to you phone directly then Nextel can trak that.. If you use you phone to check  external email Nextel does not chsrge you for a text message.

ok i think i understand that, but how do i send a text directly to another phone using tekniwap or do i get charged from nextel for sending a sms to another phone?

sending the text message through tekni is free....
if you have two way messaging premier it is free to send sms using standard two way messaging. If you dont hav it Nextel will charge you.
