2  TekniWAP Support / Support / Re: Tekni net alerts on: January 23, 2006, 08:40:15 pm
Lock the netalert, and power cycle your phone. (to lock it, hit the menu button on the net alert you want to save). Another option is edit the codeplug to add TekniWAP to your menu.

Jason I am in no way taking credit for this find or the pic, i am using the one off your site so ppl can see what it does.

5  TekniWAP Support / Support / Re: Text Messaging on: January 23, 2006, 08:27:58 pm
Well unless you sign up here as a premium user, the only free text messaging you do will be outgoing. You will be able to send text messages for free, but you also have to have a basic text on your phone (or the pay as you go). A premium user will give you an email addy@tekniwap.com so ur friends email you at that email addy and it will be sent right to you i beleive.
6  TekniWAP Support / Support / Re: Few Questions on: January 23, 2006, 08:21:25 pm
I know this is an old post, but Im answering for newcomers who have the same questions. Yes its free. Net Alerts sent to your phone are free. And when you click the TekniWAP link, anything you do including the messengers he has on the list is free. As long as you dont agree to pay then they should be. Like say there was another site that did a similar thing as TekniWAP, then the way you access it (i.e. thorugh net alerts) would be free..

<a href="http://www.harrythompson.com/troubleshooting/webjal.htm">Go here for instructions on WebJal.</a>

<a href="http://support.teknidude.com/index.php?topic=193.0">Read what I write here for this guy</a>

<a href="http://www.harrythompson.com/troubleshooting/ringtones.htm">Last here is the page on how to create your own ringtons.</a>

The first two links are to help you get WebJal and your phone communicating properly. The last is to make sure that your ringtones are done correctly. You must follow his instructions, I have realized if after pulling out my 30 seconds, that I forget to dbpower amp on my ringtone for the second time, that it will give me that error. FOLLOW HIS INSTRUCTIONS TO A T, and you will be golden!

after i log in to jal and try to connect to the phone i get a error telling to check my cable and my pefernce and the braud rate the braud is at 19200 i think my cord is working i hear the connection sound and it wored before so iam stuck at wall can anyone help with mt problem?

I dont wanna write the whole tutorial, but i recommend uninstalling the *jal that you have and whatever else.
Go to http://www.harrythompson.com and follow the instructions on his site.

I think he goes over everything except one thing. When you get to the part where you plug ur phone to your pc with the data cable, when you plug it in, XP/2000 will pop up the New Hardware wizard. You will see a balloon say Motorola iDEN Modem or something, click it and tell windows to search for it. Another balloon should pop up saying found p2k1 or something like that, do the same by letting windows search for it.

NOTE: if the balloon for p2k1 doesnt pop up after you ran the wizard for the motorola iden modem, then unplug the phone from the data cable and reconnect it. You will hear the connection sound, and it should then pop up. For both of them, you may see 2 options in the list for things to install. you should be fine just selecting the first one in the list for each. Now you are ready for WebJal. I like the version off the site I listed above.

Where can i find aim on teknidude?
First you need to have TekniWAP on your phone for free internet.

On TekniWAP its the first on every menu. 1 - 1 - 1 lol

1. Web Sites --> 1. ISP's and Search Engines --> 1. AIM

If you dont know how to use TekniWAP for internet on your phone, then search the forum. I think its on here somewhere. If you look and cant find it, post back here or email shudogg@gmail.com and ill help you out.
10  TekniWAP Support / Support / Re: is this free? on: January 23, 2006, 07:53:50 pm
is this teknidude free for nextel?

Yes, on the main page click Net Alert on the left. Follow the instructions (enter the sub id) and send the net alert to yourself. then go to message on your phone, and net alert. then click TekniWAP. anything you do through it is free. I use it daily for hours! oh well you have to have the globe icon on your phone. Like when you open the flip and you see the "desktop". That indicates you have an ip address.. if you dont then you basically need to enabe the pay as you go txt, or just add like i did, 500 text messages to your plan.
11  TekniWAP Support / Support / Re: Net Alerts Disappearing? on: January 23, 2006, 07:48:49 pm
It gets annoying.  I'll look at my phone the next day after setting up my net alert box with bookmarks and everything is gone.  I always lock the alerts but they just disappear.  Anybody know why this happens or how I can prevent this?

Also is there a wap site that I can go to save additional bookmarks?

I know this post is old, but im sure there are people like me still browsing the old posts. Now you can add TekniWAP to your menu. Jason or any other admin, is that a forbidden topic, or has it just not been brought up around here yet?
12  TekniWAP Support / Support / Re: Just curious question about "Text Pager" on: January 23, 2006, 07:40:23 pm
no help huh?? Smile Smile
As of now, you have to enter an email address. I posted here a little bit ago, and also on another forum, to Jason asking about it. I would like to have my number show up on the receiving phone instead of my email addy. I am not sure if it is possibe for him to do though. I guess whatch this page: http://support.teknidude.com/index.php?topic=195.0 and see what he says.
13  TekniWAP Support / Support / Re: I guess I'm just stupid - Need some help on: January 23, 2006, 07:34:36 pm
Found my sub ID and I have the net alert.  So what is the deal?  Is there a page that tells me what all I get with this?   Can I access anything through the teknidude on my net alert without paying anything?  I mean how can you do this?
Thanks,
Jenny

Yes basically. When you go to your Net Alerts, and open TekniWAP, essentially everything you do through the site is free. You can send a text message for free using the text pager. You can also check email, and use yahoo im, among a lot of other things. just browse around it, its all free.
14  TekniWAP Support / Support / Re: Internet? on i860 on: January 23, 2006, 07:31:02 pm
Hello I'm new to all of this. But i Just signed up for the internet on my phone. How do I get my Ip and sub id? Do I need any programs to load to my phone. I have the usb data cable on my i860. Please let me know. Thanks dvd8man

http://www.teknidude.com/wap/alert.asp?help=true <--[ that page tells you where to find your sub ID. Write your sub ID down. Then...

http://www.teknidude.com/wap/alert.asp <--[ Go here and enter that sub ID in the box, before the _atlsnup2.adc.nexteldata.net...

Send and it should send a Net Alert to your phone. To get on the internet for free, go to msg - net alert - TekniWAP..

One thing I beleive that on the 860, it wont receive the Net Alert. I am not sure why, but if you dont ever get the net alert then I am sorry. Im not sure if Jason has any other ideas for the 860 if it doesnt work, but the only I know of would be to edit the code plug.
15  TekniWAP Support / Ideas & Suggestions / My number instead of email addy on receiving phone on: January 23, 2006, 07:24:39 pm
Im not sure if it is possible Jason, but it would be nice if using the Text Pager I could opt to use My Number for who my text messages appear to come from. Right now when I send a text message using Text Pager, on the other persons phone it shows my email address for who it comes from. I would like it to use my phone number. I beleive it has the email for the prem users so the receiver can reply, and send the msg to that email addy, and it would be 100% free.. but im fine with paying for receiving txt as i have 500.
