You are right about the Dialup. The feature they give you that makes it work @$$igns another "Dial-up" phone number for you phone. It is just about as slow as an old 19,200 baud modem, so i dont know that it is worth all the trouble for a 20 dollar cable and then 10 a month just to be able to do it, while still needing a third party internet vendor for you to dial into. You would be better off playing for internet and using the TekniWAP alerts to visit mobile sites if possible.

If a Nextel rep knows what they are doing, they are not going to add your IP without an internet package. You can ask for an OARRS download and that internet will last for 15-20 days on your account. The over the air provisioning is too sparatic. Most of the time it will not even allow data transfer. Nextel is working very diligently to stop that. The best option is the Basic Web for 3.50, which i regret to say will be going away in the near future(most likely increasing in price, but offering more then it used to).
