Yeah the only thing she would be getting charged for is the incoming text messages.
Sending is free through my site but Nextel charges I think like 15 cents a pop for each message you receive.

Just order two way messaging for $5 a month and you can send a receive as much as you want.  The advantage of using Tekniwap even though you have two way messaging is that you could send a message to someone and put in a fake number as if you were doin it right from nextels site.

They turned your internet on when you asked for your SubID?
Usually they make you buy a internet package first.  Thats wierd...

all you really have to do is call nextel and ask them to activate your IP address because you want to use Iden Update.  Tell them a Customer Service rap told you that you should ask for it and that you were transferred to the person your talking to!

It works!

I called nextel's TS and they said that to do the iDEN update or to DL new ring tones and wallpapers you must have the minimum internet which is 3.95 or something like that. So what you should say is you want the Text Message Express.. Which is free and will get you that IP Smile

here is the scoop....

Billing....  Nextel has several messaging packages.
Twoway messaging Premeir - $7.50 - Unlimited net messages* sent or recieved. - feature code PDSTWOWAY (package is no longer $5)
Twoway messaging Express - Free - 10 cents per net message* sent or recieved. - feature code PDSEX2WY
SMS - Free - 15 cents per message recieved. Unable to send or reply to messages. - feature code SMSPAYG

*If a message is sent through PTN@page.nextel.com it is an SMS message - you will be charged 15 cents. This message will show up at a TEXT message.
** Messages sent to PTN@messaging.nextel.com come though as a net message. 10 cents per message unles you have premier service.

If you are looking for an adjustment for text messages Claim that they are SPAM.... Chances are that some newb will credit it back to you... This may not work for very much longer. Rember when trying to get an adjustment the agent you are talking to is human.. Be nice to them and know what you want before you call....

Getting an IP with out paying anything.....
We can not just give you an IP address (PDSBROWSE) anymore.....
We cannot add PDSEX2WY (2way Express) to any phones anymore.....
Here is how you get it.....
Call up and ask for Unlimited Nationwide direct connect (NDC).
NDC has several promotions right now....
it is free for the first 30 days (after that it is $10)
you get 100 Bonus CEll minutes for as long as you have NDC
The billing system will automatically add PDSEX2WY via back end script. this may take a few days.
Once you have PDSEX2WY cancel NDC. This does not cancel PDSEX2WY.

FYI... If you work for any major corperation, chances are you can get a discount on new equipment and your bill..... I believe even McDonalds employees can get a discount....

How do I know this??? Check my occupation in my profile....
