I am a premium user and have been using Tekniwap for quite a while. Great program. Thanks Jason.
Over the weekend, I began having issues with my Text Messaging feature. After selecting the number from the list, or entering a new number to send a TM to, I get a screen that says "Your Mobile Number is:
(XXX) XXX-XXXX (X's contain my actual Nextel #). There is only one selection that I can press, which is OK. When I press OK, nothing happens. I tried resending a new alert hoping that would solve the problem, but the new alert is doing the same thibg...any ideas? Also I have restarted the phone and made sure no java apps were running.
I really like my free text messages and want them to work again.

Please HELP.

Yeah I have been working on the text pager page the past couple of days so that it works correctly with the i860.
Go back to the screen with your mobile number in it and delete everything that is there and re-type it in.
The format that it should be in is XXX-XXX-XXXX and not (XXX) XXX-XXXX

If that still doesnt work please let me know and I will make some more changes.

Have you tried what I posted above?
If so then I made a couple more changes that should have solved the problem.

The reason this is happening to some people is because you must have been using the page while I was in the process of updating it and it saved the number in the old format instead of the new.

If it still doesnt work let me know.

Hey i am having the same problem with text page for my i 730. I have cleared my number and put it in the correct way but it still does not work.  The crazy thing is that i sent a text to a verizon phone under the Auto selection and it worked and when i send to nextel's it work but sprint does not. Can you @$$ist please thanks

Clarify that...
Is it staying at the "Your mobile number:" screen like whats happening to the others,
or are your messages just not getting sent to sprint?

sorry i did not clarify ppl are not getting the messages that i send from the text pager. The only ones that seem to work are the "nextel" numbers and the verizon one when i use the "auto" selection for there service.

The server was blocked by certain carriers for a couple days due to a configuration screw up by me... oops.

I am aware that verizon still doesnt work and will hopefully have it back up later today.

i was using teknidudue for the web when one day it stopped working and hasn't worked since for about 3 days or so now. how can i get it back? i keep getting an error message how the host is not found

First let me say thanks for all the helpand info, now let me get off my knees and ask you a q! I have an old Webjal file. I paid you the ol 5 bucks a while ago for a p@$$word, but you had a list of things for a dumb@$$ like me to fix under the start run menu.  I have a new puter with the old file, can you give a brother a helping hand.

Jasdyer561.  What I do for e-mail addresses is this.  Just don't delelte the addresses and reply to them.  If you are cheating on your girl or wife you may not want to keep it though.  But if the same person is e-mailing you just delete it once you get multiple responses from them.  As for websites, 1) go to www.tekniwap.com, 2) on the left you will see members login, 3) once logged in you will see click here to edit the NEW Custom Link, 4) there you can enter your web addresses that you want and hit save at the bottom once finished and send the links.  5) on your phone when you go to your internet (Tekniwap) under custom links you should see it up and running.  I hope this helps! 

Thanks again for the internet access, its great. I have a few questions though!!!  Is there a difference between the way you can view the mobile internet and its content between tekinwap and nextel?

The reason why I ask is that I can swear that when I had nextel net it was mainly all text. No pics, no colors, nothing. But with your internet, i get everthing!!! Is this a new feature because i have an i860 instead of a i730??

 Did nextel improve the way we can look at the Net or is it just Tekinwap??

Also, I want to donate immediatly to become a premium user, but, heres the problem??

I am currently using 12000kb of memory on my phone and  I have 13000Kb available. Why is it that when I browse your internet I constanty get 'insufficient memory' errors or' document to large for available memory' errors??? examples are when I go to ebay or launhcast???etc.......

[I just signed up for the 3 month p@$$word for webjal. I loaded it in yesterday and it was working fine, got like 8 ringtones loaded to my i860 and then when I tried it later in the day it wouldn't work. I keep getting the communication error saying to set my phone to 19200 baud (which it was). What would cause it to stop working? I used your patch.

Now it sort of works if I only enter 1 file it will load it to the phone but if I try more than one file or try to do anymore after the first file it gives me the same general communication error, baud rate message, any ideas on why this is working somewhat but with all these problems?

hii my name is steven and am a premium user i donated $5 and i think my internet is not working at full service because my phoneBook menu says Send or Recieve and when i click on one of them it says Feature not available Could any one help me in this small problem please!! i think the problem is that i have to pay $10 to be a full premium user but am not sure so if you do kno please let me kno as soon as you can thanx  :?

Now I can't get webjal to load anything, it connects to the phone but as soon as I try to load ringtones t omy phone I get this message: "A general communication error occured while communicating to the phone. Please verify the communication between the computer, phone and cable as well as your preference settings. In addition you may try setting the phone Baud Rate to 19200." The baud rate is set to 19200 and it communicated fine to connect. I know it is communicating with the phone because it lets me change the file selection for the ringtones to wav or mp3. I don't believe it is a problem with the data cable because it works fine with phone book manager etc. Can someone please help me with this....?

I thought this topic was for tekni. Problems only but I guess ppl do there on thing.  I do have a question and maybe Jason can help.  I have used Tekni free internet net alert b4 and saved my phonebook. I recently upgraded to the 860 and added the free internet and when I tried to save my phone book I don't get a confirmation or anything and I was wondering is anyone else having the same problem. Because before it would say saved once I added it.

I just got my new i836 2 days ago and i downloaded the free net stuff and the webjal stuff but for some reason the program says 'ohone not connected' and i have a cable and downloaded the USB installer and still nothing. Does anyone know what music files my phone supports? I want to also download wallpapers and im having trouble with that as well.

Wwinamp Controller is not working well the installation is says "can not download VB runtime files from server."

i dont know if im in the right place but i have a problem now but ive been using the free internet from the net alert and ive been text messaging people on the 2 way messaging and everytime i recive a message it will go to the net alert no problem there but lately its been going into my inbox and i think im going to get charge for text messaging because it not going to the net alert its going dirctly to my inbox

If you send what's called an echeck then it takes usually 4 days for the money to leave your bank account.  Once the transfer completes you will be automatically emailed and ready to go.  Sorry about the confusion.

You can check the transaction through paypal and it will say:
Status:   Uncleared(Expected Clearing Date: Dec. 19, 2005)

Hello I am having a problem.  I can not open TekniWAP, I get " 500: Web service problem: ...".
 Im using a nextel i355 and had no problem until a week ago.  I am able to use the web broswer
to view the free site that Nextel allows.  So I dont think think it my phone or my service.  I can still
send a net alert,  I just cant open them with out the "500:web service problem".

im having a lil problem here.....i have tekniwap and i use the text pager to text........but theres one lil problem.....where do i receive my text at ??? i could send but i receive back as regular text messaging and i want to receive through the text pager or somewhere .....where i wont get charge ???? wut can i do ?? is there any way i could receive them free ....and how can i do it ???
